Matt Welik
Founder & CEO
About Matt
Before founding Healing Partners, Matt worked in various related roles –including Director of Wound Care for University of Maryland Medical Center and Manager of Wound, Diabetes & Hyperbaric Medicine for Fredrick Memorial Hospital – where he recognized gaps in wound care in the long-term care space. As an ardent advocate for best-practice medicine and innovation and technology, Matt is passionate about bringing a higher standard of wound care to SNF partners. At University of Maryland, Matt oversaw the turn-around of their wound program, including the introduction of AI wound technologies and a physical plant expansion to increase capacity by over 50%.
Matt holds a B.A. in communication and a master’s in healthcare administration from the University of Maryland, College Park, where he specialized in leadership communication and healthcare leadership.

David Marzullo
COO
Our Chief Operating Officer, David, has devoted nearly two decades to healthcare strategy and operations, working closely with providers and health plans to develop effective solutions to deliver better outcomes. Before joining Healing Partners, David served as Vice President of Network Solutions at Glenridge Healthcare, where he was responsible for performance and operations. Prior to that role, David was an Area Vice President for Healogics, where he led the day-to-day operations for 18+ wound care centers in the Mid Atlantic Region.
David received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Towson University and a master’s degree in health administration from the University of Maryland.

Kayla Senf, RN, MSN, FNP-C
VP of Clinical Operations
Kayla’s diverse background in healthcare and administration – focused on advanced wound care, evidence-based healing practices, and process review and streamlining to allow providers to spend more time on patient care – brings a unique perspective to Healing Partners. Prior to serving as a healthcare provider with Healing Partners, Kayla was the Clinical Nurse Manager at two wound care and hyperbaric medicine centers on the East Coast. Kayla has served on skin and wound teams at three hospitals with an emphasis on development of robust pressure ulcer prevention and detection programs.
Kayla received an Associate of Science in healthcare administration with a focus on billing and coding from Coastal Carolina Community College, a Bachelor of Science in healthcare administration from Upper Iowa University, a Bachelor of Science Nursing from East Carolina University, and a Master of Science in nursing, family nurse practitioner, from Simmons University.

Nathan Lefkovitz
vP of Business Development
Armed with a strong background in healthcare sales and client engagement, Nathan is ideally suited to handle his responsibilities at Healing Partners. His expertise in deal negotiation and business development – coupled with his innate knack for identifying talent and building a strong team – give him an edge in his position, where he oversees company growth and business development.
Prior to entering the healthcare industry, Nathan honed his skills while supervising a large commercial building services agency and serving as VP for DMAC over the course of several years. He currently directs the company’s growth expansion throughout numerous states.

Mike Sushner
Controller
With years of hands-on Big Four experience as an auditor and senior manager at KPMG, Mike is the consummate professional to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations. In his current position at Healing Partners, Mike is responsible for the accounting department – supervising all of the department’s activities, from financial management reports to ledger accuracy to A/P and A/R function – and carefully monitors the company’s operations for optimal performance.
As a CPA and graduate of James Madison University, Mike possesses excellent leadership skills and high-level expertise that continually advance the Healing Partners objectives.

Diana Kahler
Director of Human Resources
Diana is a versatile and passionate leader who is adept at identifying organizational growth opportunities, guiding change, and delivering impactful results. Knowledgeable in a wide array of HR strategy, policies, and practices and with over 15 years of human resources experience, Diana has extensive experience in benefits, talent, and recruitment management for both profit and nonprofit organizations.
Diana’s expertise and knack for interpersonal relationships as well as her professional education and training – she earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Towson University and an MBA with a minor in HR Management from Strayer University, as well has PHR and SHRM-CP certification – assist her in identifying and recruiting superior talent to the Healing Partners team.

David Lavin
Director of Revenue Cycle Management
Since his introduction to the healthcare financial services management industry over two decades ago, David has quickly risen through the ranks while amassing valuable experience. He launched his career in the collection and outsource sector and was repeatedly promoted, ultimately assuming responsibility for large-scale projects.
David’s experience in challenging consulting roles – in which he supported several substantial healthcare organizations while focusing on receivables management, operations improvement, and interim leadership – has sharpened his skills, enabling him to design creative problem-solving approaches and novel strategies at Healing Partners.
