MISSION ZERO:
ZERO IN on pressure ulcers.
ZERO TOLERANCE for avoidable pressure injuries.
Mission Zero is our pressure ulcer prevention program. Our goal: to promote a facility culture that supports a zero-injury clinical outcome. We share this goal with the entire team – from unit managers to nursing assistants to administrators – because it takes a unified team, working together to protect patients’ skin, to achieve that goal.

Are you ZEROING IN on pressure ulcers?

Our providers collaborate with the facility staff on every level, offering education, treatment recommendations, and support to prevent pressure-related injuries before a wound begins to develop. We provide facility-wide assessments to detect skin breakdown or pigmentation changes, create treatment plans (including strategic positioning, application of wedges, foams, and barrier creams, and other elements of pressure ulcer prevention), use our technology to track in-house acquired injuries, pinpoint areas of concern, develop a plan of action, and get staff involved and accountable.
While the goal is lofty, it’s also achievable – and it’s setting a new standard of care for long-term skilled nursing facilities.
